Day 1 Updates – 2011 AEC Swimming and Diving Championships

The UMBC Dawg Blog is on the pool deck for the 2011 America East Swimming and Diving Championships. We’ll post live updates as they happen at the Germantown Indoor Swim Center.

Update 7:35 p.m.

the women’s 200 medley relay of Kathryn Moorby, Talor Tadena, Sarah Ryan and Ashley Miller finished third in a school record time of 1:43.70, while the men’s relay of Sandy Haibel, Steve Gallagher, Brad Reitz and Keilan Freeman finished second in a school record and NCAA “B” cut time of 1:29.81. That concludes the action for tonight, full results will be on UMBCRetrievers.com. Prelims start tomorrow at 10 a.m., see you tomorrow!

Update:6:24 p.m.

The men’s 800 free relay of Brad Reitz, Keilan Freeman, Pierre De Waal and Eric Jones broke the UMBC and America East Championship record in an NCAA “B”Cut time of 6:34.28!

Update: 6:15 p.m.

The women’s 800-yard freestyle relay of Amy Fay, Danielle Cruz, Ashley Miller and Abbey McKenney finished second in a UMBC record and NCAA “B” cut time of 7:21.69!

    I am so ready to see the ladies bring the title back to UMBC and these first 2 relays will def set the tone tonight!!!
