Retriever Alumni Update – May 21

This week we look at Major League Lacrosse’s season-opening weekend and the National League Lacrosse Championship Game.

 

Professional Lacrosse

Brendan Mundorf – New York Titans (NLL), Denver Outlaws (MLL)

Mundorf had an eventful weekend as he played in the National League Lacrosse Championship game for the Titans, scoring two goals and dishing out three assists as New York fell to Calgary, 12-10. Mundorf then flew from Calgary to Denver to being the Major League Lacrosse season with the Outlaws on Saturday. He scored a hat-trick, but Denver lost to Chicago, 13-11.

Zach Burke – Washington Bayhawks

Burke picked up two ground balls in the Bayhawks’ 17-16 loss to the Toronto Nationals. Washington plays Long Island Thursday at 7 p.m. For more info on the Bayhawks, visit here.

Terry Kimener – Chicago Machine

Kimener had two assists in Chicago’s 13-11 win over Denver. The Machine play at Toronto Friday night at 7:30 p.m. For more information on the Machine, visit here.

United Soccer League – Division I

Matt Watson – Carolina RailHawks

Watson started and played almost the entire game in the RailHawks’ 2-0 win over Miami FC on Saturday, May 16. Watson and Carolina’s next game is at the Cleveland City Stars on Friday at 8 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on Fox Soccer Channel.
